Hi! I'm Danielle! Welcome to my blog. The purpose of this blog is to allow me to explore DIY, home improvement, decorating and crafting and share all of my trials and tribulations with others. I began following blogs about a year ago when my husband and I purchased our first home. We purchased our house knowing that it had tons of potential and with the intent of making it everything we knew it could be. Searching online for solutions to DIY and home improvement problems I discovered some of the blogs that I continue to follow today.

Aside from being a wife and a homeowner I am also a mother to a beautiful little girl and an adorable mastiff mix pup. I spend most of my time at home with my family. I work full time as a Fraud Analyst, however, would love someday to have the opportunity to stay home with my babies.

This is my baby.

What's in a name?

My blog is called "The Sunshine Girl" because of family histroy. Before my grandfather passed he ran his own dairy business called "Sunshine Dairy". My father also currently runs his own business that operates under a name that incorporates the word Sunshine. I deliberated for a while on what to name my blog and then one day it hit me "The Sunshine Girl". It only made sense to continue the "Sunshine" trend.
